Candle Crafting Workshop!

from $85.00

🌸🕯️ Join us for a one of a kind candle crafting workshop experience, led by local candle expert and small business owner Irish! 🕯️🌸

Choose your scents from our selection and make a beautiful custom 250g candle to enjoy at home.

For your convenience, all crafting materials are provided, and two different sessions are available to book. Secure your space now and bring your friends, as spots are limited for these pop-up social craft workshops! 💃

On Sunday 14 December, we are hosting two different kinds of workshops, with the details as follows:

  • SESSION 1 (4.30PM — 5.30PM)
Traditional candle-making (choose your scents and craft your candle)

OR

  • SESSION 2 (6.00PM — 7.30PM)
Pressed flower candle-making (decorate your candle’s vessel with real pressed flowers before choosing your scents and crafting your candle, for true personalisation and flair!)

Venue for both workshop sessions: John Wardle Room, St. Albans Community Centre, 1049 Colombo Street, St Albans, Christchurch. Free parking available at 126 Caledonian Road.

Complimentary food and non-alcoholic beverages will be served at both sessions.

🌸 Important Note: 🌸
Candles must cure after the workshop, so you won't be able to take them with you right away.

Your candle expert, Irish, will lovingly package your candles for you once they have safely cured overnight, and you’ll be able to collect your candles from Irish’s store pop-up in the Christchurch Central City.

Address for candle pickup on Monday 15 December: Purple Goddess & Co Pop-Up at the LiVS Incubator, 110 Cashel Street, Christchurch, between the hours of 11am—7pm.

🌼 Candle Etiquette: 🌼
We will talk over these points more during the workshop, but as we will be using dried flowers as decorations for these candles, you must NEVER leave your candle burning unattended. Please keep the burning area inside your candle clear of flowers/debris, and never let your candle burn for more than 4 hours at a time.

For the best fragrance throw, allow your candle to cure for two weeks before burning.

Keep your wick trimmed, and ensure you burn for at least 1 hour on the first burn (in order to prevent tunnelling).

Creative Otautahi Booking Policy:

All sales are final. Please review your selected date and time carefully before purchasing.

No physical or digital tickets will be provided -- your email booking confirmation serves as your ticket, and your name will be on the list for check-in with your hosts upon arrival.

Ka pai! We source the majority of our crafting materials and supplies from fellow small Aotearoa-based businesses, so when you support us, you’re also supporting them!
